AFC Totton in the Community is the charity arm of AFC Totton — standing alongside local charities, schools and community groups all season long, led by Tara Doel, our Charities and Communities Manager.
AFC Totton in the Community holds its own charitable status, enabling the club to apply for grants that support Youth Development, our academies, and our Pan Disability, LGBTQ and Walking Football teams — opening sport to every part of our community.
Through the season we run a charity matchday programme: at home games we welcome a local charity or community group, give them a platform in the ground and online, and share a summary afterwards so supporters always have a resource of local organisations they can turn to if they ever need them.
Away from matchdays, our Community Boards in the clubhouse corridor carry posters and information from local groups, the clubhouse is signed up to the Warm Welcome Campaign as a free warm space for anyone who needs one, and we work with local schools through assemblies and free kids’ cup tickets.

The clubhouse is a registered Warm Welcome space — a free, friendly place to come in, warm up and chat. Everyone is welcome, no membership needed.
Weekly draws every Saturday at 8pm with a top jackpot of £25,000 and a 1-in-50 chance of a prize each week. A portion of every ticket bought on our dedicated page comes straight to AFC Totton in the Community, with spending decisions agreed by the charity’s Trustees.
AFC Totton works with the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Violence Reduction Unit (VRU), part of the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner, to help reduce knife crime in the New Forest area. The VRU supports the Violence Reduction Partnership — police, health, justice, fire, local authorities, education, prisons and the voluntary and charity sector across Hampshire, the Isle of Wight, Portsmouth and Southampton — working together so that people can live their lives free from violence and the fear of violence.
Twice a year, in May and November, Operation Sceptre (knife crime awareness week) steps up activity across Hampshire to take knives off the streets and educate children, families and communities. The posters, leaflets and resources below were produced with young people from Motive8 — they can be used at any time of year, so please download, print and share them.

Every season we welcome local charities and community groups to the Snows Stadium. Here they all are — what they do and how to reach them — so supporters always have a resource of local organisations to turn to, or to support, if they ever need them.
Rehabilitation, support and advice for adults living with an acquired brain injury — from falls, accidents, strokes or tumours — and support for their families and carers. Their Day Centre is right here in Totton, at 120 Commercial Road.
Supervised dinghy sailing for anyone aged 8+ with any disability, from the 4th Eling Sea Scout HQ at Testwood Lakes on Mondays and Thursdays, April to October — with a wheelchair-accessible pontoon and hoists. Run entirely by volunteers, and new helpers are always welcome.
Helping people with a learning disability in the New Forest live their best lives — Lifeskills, the Springboard to Employment programme, three social clubs and a Healthier Me programme — and supporting parent and family carers. The charity raises all of its own income.
In its 75th year, supporting children, young people and adults with disabilities across Portsmouth and South-East Hampshire through 16 services — including Inter Activ, an employability programme that has helped more than 110 people into work placements or jobs.

A charity on our doorstep in Cadnam supporting children aged 0–19 with a wide range of physical or mental disabilities. £110 was raised as they opened their new centre.
Hampshire organisation offering free emergency life-saving training, including how to use a defibrillator. Defibrillators are on site at the Snows by the main stand and outside the ClubShop building.
Respite breaks and support for young carers in the New Forest. Our collection raised £192.83 — enough to feed 12 young carers on a residential break at Honeypot House.
Supports 7 to 18-year-olds in the New Forest who care for a family member — information and advice, one-to-one mentoring, school support, trips and activities so young carers get valuable time out.
Clubs, activities, trips and one-to-one support for more than 150 young carers aged 5–18, giving them a break from their responsibilities and space to just be themselves.

We support the Poppy Appeal each November, and our Totton Veterans formed a guard of honour at our Remembrance Day match. Totton veterans are welcome to join their Facebook group.
Our Sleep Out Under the Stars with Specsavers raised around £1,400 for YMCA Fairthorne Group and AFC Totton in the Community to support young adults at risk of homelessness — and the sleeping bags went on to Street Angels Southampton.
Being the home of the Stags, we gave a shout-out to our Fordingbridge-based friends, who raise awareness and provide training about wild deer and the issues surrounding them.
