It wasn't Totton's day at home as they were beaten 0-5 by a ruthless Andy Carroll and Dagenham & Redbridge side.
Since arriving from Bordeaux in the summer, Andy Carroll has been in fine form, and he continued that just six minutes into this one, beating Evans from close range.
Jimmy Ball’s side came close to an almost instant response when Ashley Clark's cross come shot found the top of the crossbar.
The former England international then doubled his and the visitors tally, latching on to a poor clearance from Evans to find the net from just outside the area.
The Daggers then made it three with Carroll netting his hat-rick with just half an hour gone. Wimbledon loanee Harry Sidwell found the former £30m man unmarked to finish from pinpoint range.
The afternoon then went from bad to worse for the hosts with Lee Bradbury's side making it four before the break, through captain Timothee Dieng, as he produced a clinical strike into the top left corner.
Dagenham then continued where they left off from the first forty-five with Joe Haigh being played in one on one before finishing past Evans to make it five in just two minutes of the second half starting.
AFC Totton were then awarded a spot-kick after Declan Rose long range effort appeared to bounce off Dieng's arm.
However, Malachi Linton could not convert from twelve yards, with his effort being saved by McKenzie down to his right.
Full time and the Stags stretch their winless run to four in the league while the visitors win three on the bounce, closing the gap to the playoffs to just three points.
