STAGS HIT SIX OF THE BEST TO CELEBRATE RETURN OF CAPTAIN CARTER
AFC TOTTON RAN-OUT comfortable winners at home to bottom-of-the-table Marlow.
With captain Mike Carter starting for the first time in 18 months after injury, The Stags looked assured during the early stages and took the lead on 35 minutes. Tony LEE slid the ball home from the edge of the six-yard box from Charlie Kennedy's cross.
Marlow equalised within a few minutes. Mekhai Bassasa-Grant's cross-shot squirmed under 'keeper Ryan Gosney and rolled towards the line; an off-balance Joe Oastler stabbed the ball into his own net.
But two more goals had Totton in control by half-time. Scott RENDELL headed home from close range after a short corner routine orchestrated by Adam Tomasso. Then, Ethan TAYLOR made it three-one when Charlie Austin and Lee combined to create an opening for him to fire between two defenders and under 'keeper Harrison Rhone.
Ethan TAYLOR grabbed his second on 59 minutes, the ball falling to him as Rhone punched Tomasso's corner away from Rendell's head only for the winger to volley home.
A quality finish from Scott RENDELL added to Marlow's misery, converting from left of the penalty spot after Luke Bennett and Ben Seymour carved out a chance from the right wing.
And Torquay United loanee Ben SEYMOUR completed the half-dozen for The Stags, running onto Kennedy's through-ball to calmly finish.
