ON THE SAME PAGE is a compelling new short film created to mark World Mental Health Day 2024, on Thursday 10 October.
Directed by Jon Ashworth, the film delves into the intricate relationship between fans, players, and staff of a non-league football club from a mental health perspective.
The primary goal of the film is to encourage individuals to take the crucial 'first step' toward seeking help or opening up about their mental health struggles.
Through this film, we explore how mental health impacts everyone involved in the football community — players, fans, and staff alike. By featuring personal insights from players, staff, and dedicated supporters, On The Same Page aims to shed light on the shared experiences and challenges faced within the football club.
Join us as we highlight the importance of mental health and the power of coming together to support one another.
We hear from former Premier League star Charlie Austin and AFC Totton fan Adi Rose, who share their personal experiences of how non-league football has positively impacted their lives. Both discuss the significance of taking that crucial 'first step' toward seeking help and how it has played a pivotal role in their mental health journeys.
From directors and players to fans, AFC Totton is united in its commitment to mental health and well-being. Together, they demonstrate that being On The Same Page means fostering a supportive community for all.
Look out for the premier of the short film On The Same Page on the AFC Totton TV YouTube channel on World Mental Health Day on Thursday 10 October 2024.
