AS THE 2024/25 SEASON enters the home straight, AFC Totton sit second in the Southern League Premier Division South table with games in-hand and a home match still to come against their main title rivals Merthyr Town.
The Martyrs were held to a 1-1 draw at Wimborne Town last weekend - their seventh stalemate in 10 games since the turn of the year - leaving them on 69 points from 31 games played. The Stags, meanwhile, produced an emphatic home win over Havant & Waterlooville on Tuesday night to leave them just four points behind with two games in-hand over the Penydarren Park outfit and Merthyr’s crunch top-of-the-table visit to the Snows Stadium to look forward to on Saturday 01 March.
With the Southern League Premier Division South title and the only automatic spot for promotion to the National League South up for grabs, Jimmy Ball’s Totton are now entering a crucial stage of the campaign where every goal and every point matters.
Interest in the Merthyr Town game, in particular, is known to be extremely high, not least because the current league leaders have already publicised that they intend to bring several coach loads of fans down from South Wales to cheer on their team when they visit the Snows Stadium on - as luck would have it - St. David’s Day.
Senior management at AFC Totton are keen that home fans have every opportunity to purchase their tickets in advance of the big game, to ensure they can also be there to cheer on The Stags, and for all of Totton’s remaining home games as the club bids to climb to Step 2 football for the first time in its entire 139-year history.

And in the event that The Stags are involved in the end of season Promotion Play-Offs, all full, half and Title Run-In season ticket holders will have first priority on match tickets for all Play-Off home games.
