FOLLOWING THE INJURY sustained by regular No.1 Lewis Noice, AFC Totton are now benefitting from the on-loan services of Hastings-born goalkeeper Tommy Reid, who arrives from Brighton & Hove Albion.

Tommy has been with the Amex Stadium club since he was 9 years-old, and has represented England at U15, U16 and U17 levels, as well as being called up to the U18 squad.

His previous loan spells have taken him to Burgess Hill Town and Worthing, by way of an introduction to men’s football, while he has also featured for Brighton’s U21s.

He made his AFC Totton debut in the 2-2 draw at Swindon Supermarine on Saturday 03 February 2024, and subsequently kept a clean sheet against the Royal Navy FA in the Quarter-Finals of the Servio Hampshire Senior Cup.

"The lads and the staff made me feel very welcome, thoroughly enjoyed the first two games," the young goalkeeper told the StagsMedia team's Adi Rose.

"I'm gutted to have had the last two games cancelled but I'm very much looking forward to Saturday and the last part of the season, pushing for promotion."

Stags boss Jimmy Ball commented:

"I'm really grateful to Brighton for helping us bring Tommy in, after Noicey got his concussion. Tommy is a very competent young goalkeeper; he's confident, good with his feet and a great shot-stopper. He’s a really good personality around the group, and we’re pleased to have him with us for the rest of the season to help us achieve our goals."
