ISUZU FA TROPHY ACTION RETURNS to the Snows Stadium once again, as AFC Totton host Dorchester Town in the First Round Proper.

On Tuesday night, The Stags were unstoppable on home soil, winning 5-1 against Taunton Town in the Southern League Premier Division South, with goals from Tony Lee, two from Ethan Taylor, and one each from Sam Magri and substitute Ash Clarke made sure that the fans were thoroughly entertained.

DORCHESTER TOWN – THEIR SEASON SO FAR:

The Magpies are currently perched in fourth place in the Southern League Premier Division South table, with 22 points from 12 games.

Dorch began their campaign with a visit from Havant & Waterlooville, and they managed to get a point from the newly-relegated Hawks. Dorchester drew again in their second game against Tiverton Town, with Olaf Koszela scoring in both games.

A 0-2 defeat followed at Basingstoke Town, but Manager Tom Killick’s men bounced back to win against a high-flying Gloucester City side, and then hold Winchester City to a goalless draw at the Charters Community Stadium.

After a disappointingly early exit from the Emirates FA Cup at the First Round Qualifying stage at the hands of Banbury United, Dorchester bounced back with a handsome 4-0 win over Frome Town, which proved to be the first of three consecutive home wins in the league – the second of which was AFC Totton’s only league defeat of the season so far, when two gals from Koszela spearheaded The Magpies’ 3-2 victory.

Dorch continued their positive form with a 3-1 defeat of Chertsey Town, before drawing 0-0 with Tiverton Town in Third Round Qualifying for the Isuzu FA Trophy, and progressing via a penalty shoot-out.

Since then, Dorchester have racked up a 2-2 away draw at Marlow, a thumping 5-1 win at Sholing before suffering a surprise 0-3 defeat at home to Hanwell Town, last weekend. Ex-Stags striker Shaquille Gwengwe got The Magpies back to winning ways by scoring the only goal of the game when Plymouth Parkway visited The Avenue Stadium on Tuesday night.
