FOLLOWING BACK-TO-BACK home games, The Stags hit the road to Dorset to play Dorchester Town at The Avenue.
Last time out on a wet Tuesday evening, Jimmy Ball’s men returned to winning ways, comfortably beating Wimborne Town 4-0 with two goals from Tony Lee, one from Charlie Austin and a Tom Blair stunner.
DORCHESTER’S SEASON SO FAR:
Dorch started the league season with the visit of Havant & Waterlooville, and they managed to get a point from the newly-relegated side. They drew again in their second game, against Tiverton Town. Olaf Koszela scored in both games. A 0-2 defeat followed at Basingstoke Town, but they bounced back to win versus a high-flying Gloucester City side and then drew 0-0 at Winchester City. After exiting the Emirates FA Cup at the First Round Qualifying stage due to defeat at the hands of Banbury United, Dorchester’s last game was a 4-0 win over Frome Town, which leaves The Magpies sitting in 9th place with nine points from six games.

HEAD-TO-HEAD:
There have been four meetings since 2018 with Totton on top winning two out of the four. There was a win for Dorchester on the 10th of November 2018 and the heartbreaking draw for The Stags at the Snows Stadium last season after being 4-1 up, it ended 4-4. However, our last trip to The Avenue can be on remembered fondly as we won 0-4 on the final game of the season last year to secure 2nd place.
