Sam Griffin has sealed the deal that keeps him at AFC Totton for next season, writes Jack Clarkson
The man that is Sam Griffin has commit next season to the Stags. A formidable force in midfield/attack providing just as many assists as he does goals. An ever-present all season round player, Griff has built a reputable name for his all-out action style of play that delivers consistently. He is a great trainer and competitor who can’t stand losing whether it be training or in a competitive match.
Sitting down with the media team at AFC Totton, Sam said ‘I am excited, looking at the squad we’ve got here, it’s a big season ahead. There’s going to be a lot of competition for places, but I definitely want to be here and I think it’ll be a good season (for us)‘. On the topic of targets for this season, Sam said ‘I think we have to be (confident in getting automatic promotion) when you look around and see who’s here. It’s not just the quality of players we have it’s the character now as well, there’s some big characters’.
We, as a club are extremely happy that Sam has agreed to stay put for the upcoming season, and we’re sure you all are as well.
