AFC Totton are pleased to confirm that Stephane Zubar is remaining a Stag for the 2021/22 season! Writes Jack Clarkson
Stephane Zubar haș put pen to paper on his deal to retain an AFC Totton man for the 2021/22 season. A fantastic, experienced defender who joined the stags last term has already proven himself to be a brilliant signing as he put in some superb appearances last season.
Zubar haș previously played for big clubs including Caen, Brussels, Plymouth Argyle & AFC Bournemouth. He is a leader at the back who proved his worth in the shortened season last year.
In his first interview after re-signing for the club, Zubar said ‘of course (I’m looking forward to the new season) because we couldn’t finish it last (season). I’m getting old, but I think I’ve still got it’. Asked about signing for the club again, the centre back said ‘I know what the club want to achieve (that’s why I came here) and I wanted to be apart of it’.
The big man is back! And we’re excited to see him back in action.
