You may have seen this signing floating about the media, however we are pleased to confirm we have reached a deal with Weymouth FC for the signing of attacking midfielder, Jack Hoey. Writes Jack Clarkson.
Jack is the 3rd official signing from Weymouth FC and the 4th signing the club have made for next season. Jack joins ex Terras men Jordan NGalo & Ade Olumuyiwa in signing this season for the club. He links up with ex Weymouth men Stephane Zubar and Brett Williams also.
The attacking midfielder, in his first interview with the club said ‘Glenn (Howes), Woodsy (James Wood) and many people above have the right idea so I don’t see why we can’t (push the club further)’. Asked why he chose AFC Totton, Jack said ‘it looks like they’ve got a lot going for them (at the moment), they’re looking to build and I had some good chats with the management and some of the boys down here too’.
Jack originally signed for Weymouth from Greenville (USA) in July 2019, after his US scholarship came to an end. He had offers to play in the second division out in America, but was given a trial at Weymouth which turned his head.
The club have added yet another name to their list of signings and are looking at Jack to provide more to the attacking options we already have.
Welcome, Jack Hoey!
