Ten-man AFC Totton fell to their first defeat of the 2026/27 campaign with a 3-0 defeat to Dorking Wanderers at the Snows Stadium.

First-half goals from Harry Forster and George Nikaj, alongside Dawid Rogalski's second-half strike, compounded a difficult night for the Stags, which also saw Matt Chandler sent off.

Dorking opened the scoring on four minutes after Dennon Lewis' cross was met by Harry Forster, who headed past Ryan Gosney .

The Stags responded well and came close on the quarter-hour mark after Charlie Betts' long throw found the head of Christie Ward who’s flick on narrowly missed the onrushing Matt Chandler at the back post.

Marc White side almost doubled their lead in spectacular fashion after an excellent solo run from defender Josh Laqeretabua; however, his effort from the edge of the box dragged wide.

The visitors continued to pile the pressure on the Stags' goal on 23 minutes after Harry Forster found Alfie Rutherford, who forced Gosney into a save down to his right.

The Wanderers doubled their lead on the half hour through striker George Nikaj, who flicked Rutherford's cross past Gosney at the near post.

Scott Rendell’s side looked to halve the deficit immediately; however, Sol Wanjau-Smith's goalward effort was blocked by Brennen Camp.

Dorking came close to a third five minutes before the break after clever work from Barrett found Rutherford who at the near post slashed his effort wide.

The side from Surrey continued to look more likely on the stroke of half time with James McShane smashing over from a Rutherford cross before Nikaj headed over minutes later.

Totton crafted the first opportunity of the second period; however, Ward’s effort from range went wide.

Rutherford forced Gosney into action on 55 minutes, with the goalkeeper standing tall to deny the forward's close-range effort.

The Stags continued to look for a way back into the game and came close after Wanjau-Smith's cross found the head of Ibby Olateju, but he headed over.

Glenn Morris pulled off an excellent double save just before the hour, first denying Craig Tanner from range before saving from Olateju on the rebound.

The Stags were reduced to ten men on 64 minutes after Chandler brought down Rutherford in on goal, with Gosney claiming the resulting free kick from Frank Vincent.

Dorking made it three on 68 minutes through substitute David Rogalski, who spun and finished into the bottom corner.

The Polish striker came close to his second and Dorking’s fourth on 86 minutes, heading onto the top of the crossbar.

The Stags travel to Ebbsfleet on Saturday looking to build on their away win at Farnham on the opening day.
