Mally's Way Officially Opened in Fitting Tribute to a True Stag

On Saturday, AFC Totton proudly marked the official opening of Mally's Way, celebrating the life and legacy of one of the club's most devoted supporters.

The special occasion brought together members of Mally's family, friends, fellow supporters, club staff, and members of the wider AFC Totton community, all united to honour a man whose unwavering passion for the Stags spanned more than 60 years.

The road, which now serves as the official address of Snows Stadium, was formally unveiled by Mally's family alongside Sir Julian Lewis, marking the culmination of a project that has become a lasting symbol of the club's appreciation for those who dedicate their lives to AFC Totton.

The unveiling was a poignant moment, with those in attendance reflecting on Mally's incredible commitment to the club and the lasting impact he had on everyone who knew him. As the new road sign was revealed, it served as a reminder that Mally's name will forever be part of every matchday journey to  The Snows Stadium.

The official opening follows months of work to bring the project to life. The idea was originally conceived by Adi Rose, whose vision and determination saw the proposal progress from concept to reality. Working closely with New Forest District Council, Adi guided the project through the necessary approvals, ensuring that Mally's legacy would become a permanent part of AFC Totton's history.

The club would also like to recognise the contributions of Communities and Charities Manager Tara Doel, whose support throughout the project helped bring the tribute to fruition, and AFC Totton CEO Steve Brookwell, whose backing ensured the club fully embraced the initiative from start to finish.

Mally's Way represents far more than a change of address. It reflects the values that have always defined AFC Totton: loyalty, community, and recognising the people whose dedication has helped shape the club for generations.

Everyone at AFC Totton would like to thank Mally's family for sharing such a memorable day with us, along with all the supporters, staff, and guests who attended to celebrate this landmark occasion. We also extend our sincere thanks to Sir Julian Lewis MP for joining us to officially unveil the road.

Mally's Way will now stand as a lasting tribute, ensuring that Mally's name continues to welcome players, supporters, visitors, and future generations to Snows Stadium for many years to come.
